PUBLIC HEARING GUIDELINES
A Public Hearing regarding the matter of the construction of a Bolivar County Community Action Agency Head Start facility off of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive has been set for March 25th, 2021 at 6:00 PM via Zoom.

Time: 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM
HOW DO I SIGN UP TO SPEAK?
Speakers may sign-up beginning on March 17th, 2021 online. The sign-up period will end when all slots have been filled or by noon on March 24th, 2021, whichever occurs first. The public hearing will be limited to total of 20 speakers, with 10 speakers each in support or against the matter up for public discussion.
NO sign-up by proxy; the person wishing to speak must be the one to sign up.
HOW WILL I KNOW WHEN IT’S MY TURN TO SPEAK?
When you enter the meeting on Zoom, you will enter as an attendee and therefore will be muted but can hear and see the meeting. When your name is called to speak, you will be promoted to speaker mode. The screen will flash as it changes your status. Please do not leave the meeting, you haven't been disconnected.
HOW MUCH TIME WILL I HAVE?
You will have 3 minutes to speak. A timer will be visible in Zoom denoting a countdown of 3 minutes. A bell will sound at the end of your time. Once your three minutes is over, you will be switched back to an attendee and will again be muted.
ARE SPEAKERS CALLED IN A CERTAIN ORDER?
Speakers will be randomly ordered, alternating between the two positions, until the time limit is reached.
