Meetings are open to the public; therefore, members of the public are welcome to address the board on relevant topics.
Persons or organizations that have a specific request or issue requiring action from the Mayor and Board may do so through the five minute public participation process. Individuals who desire to speak to the board will be required to complete a Request for Public Participation form at least one week prior to the board meeting. A spokesperson must be designated and a detailed description of the area of concern must be provided.
However, if the person or organization wishes to appear before the board for “informational purposes only” then the Board requests they schedule a meeting with their Alderman or the Mayor who may relay any relevant information back to the full board.
